The stigmatize of poor? Social criticize the government policy of welfare card to the poor by “face scanning”
Scanning a face of poor people to reduces a percentage of VAT instead of pressing the code when paying for the goods. The social animadvert that this is an infraction of human right?
“Mr. Aphisak Tantiworawong” The Minister of Finance have been said that there will be a development about electronic wallet in term of welfare card for the people who have less of income to have an easier life with include the higher protection from the impostor as well. Therefore, The Ministry of Finance now is asking the handle of welfare card to change the password with the Krung Thai Bank, before change the system to face scanning that is also same reason with the increase number of right protection. However, in this coming future there will be installing the system to the store that accept the welfare card or having a blue flag. Which according to the system test was found that citizen can use the cheap mobile to complete electronic wallet of face scanning. Moreover, there also confirm that the electronic wallet can be used as a cash or scan without any trouble but in the past the less of promote make the citizen confused and think that using of electronic wallet is complicated by presenting a measure of VAT Refund to the less income people that was registered for government welfare in amount of 11.5 million peoples. Next Week there will be considered or not? This depending on the Thai Government to make a determination of this policy.
Although, this is a good thing to Thai citizen but it also has a lot of following criticize about the human right in terms of “stigmatize to the poor” which some of the citizens agree that finger scanning is enough for this case.
