Fireworks Media Joins Public & Private Sectors to Hold Event on Boatbuilding, Oil and Gas Industries
Fireworks Media Thailand, with cooperation of public and private sectors, is completely ready to organize “Thailand Marine & Offshore Expo (TMOX) 2019” for the first time in conjunction with the 9th Oil & Gas Thailand (OGET) 2019 between 9 and 11 October 2019. 150 public and private organizations have already accepted the invitation. Over 100 million Thai Baht are expected to spread during the event where the venue’s area is expanded to 6,000 square meters this year.
The manager of Fireworks Media Thailand Co. Ltd., Mrs. Puntharika Saenrit announced that the exposition on boatbuilding, maritime navigation and offshore industries as well as the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, known briefly as “Thailand Marine & Offshore Expo (TMOX) 2019” aimed to establish Thailand as a maritime hub in South East Asia. At the event, participants will witness development and innovations of offshore industries and have a chance to share knowledge and conceptual idea for joint investment apart from enhancing business capacity for ASEAN, Asian and world entrepreneurs.
Organized on a 6,000 sq. m. area, the TMOX 2019 and OGET 2019 are considered bigger than the previous ones. Over 150 public and private entrepreneurs are interested in taking part in the event. To name but a few are the Ministry of Industry, Harbour Department, Laemchabang Port, The Bangkok Dock Company (Thailand), Thai Shipping and Repairing Association, Thai Shipowner’s Association, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Italthai Marine Ltd., Unithai Shipyard & Engineering Ltd., Marsun Public Company Limited, Thai Oil Marine Co. Ltd., IRPC Public Company Limited, GC Maintenance & Engineering Co. Ltd. and Welding Institute of Thailand.
Activities of the event are quite interesting, namely exhibitions of innovation development on boatbuilding, maritime navigation industries, yacht industries, offshore industries and oil, gas and petroleum industrial groups. Business opportunity enhancement promotion will be provided to manufacturers, entrepreneurs and purchasers in the business matching activity.
Besides, there are several seminars, such as “Thailand Maritime Week 2019” under the theme, “Seminar for Alternatives to Tackle IMO 2020 Regulations”, held by Thai Shipowner’s Association to enable Thailand’s entrepreneurs on boatbuilding, maritime navigation and shipowners. To be enforced in the next 2 months, the IMO 2020 Regulations will help reduce Sulphur emission in maritime navigation from 3.5% to 0.5% for the sake of clean air. Such is a major change of industries on maritime navigation and shipowners of the world.
“Both Thailand Marine & Offshore Expo (TMOX) 2019 and Oil & Gas Thailand (OGET) 2019 Thailand are displaying products on offshore industrial technology as well as petrochemical, gas and oil industries and oil drilling. Inevitably, all of them involve offshore industries. That’s why both events will be held together and over 5,000 visitors are expected to go there, hence more than 100 million Thai Baht of purchasing and selling values as well as trading negotiation,” explained Ms. Puntharika.
The manager of Organizational Communication Department of Unithai Group Co. Ltd. Ms. Phonphen Danpakdee revealed at the press conference for the events that the company would like to promote confidence of Thai and foreign people regarding capacity on Thailand’s boatbuilding industries which are as advanced as other countries in Asian region. The company will be pleased to provide a support to the country’s boatbuilding industries so that they become internationally recognized.
“We believe that this event will enhance competitive capacity of local entrepreneurs, especially those involving with boatbuilding, maritime navigation, transport, maintenance, safety, offshore fishery, logistics, yachting as well as industries on oil, gas and petrochemical industries. All of them correspond to governmental policy in terms of New S-Curve future industries under the country’s strategy,” added Ms. Phonphen.
TCEB’s director on industries of international exhibition Ms. Kanokphon Damrongkul said that, on behalf of the official sponsor of the event, TCEB was glad that Fireworks Media would organize TMOX 2019 because it showed the importance of ASEAN markets which, in the viewpoint of foreign investors, kept growing a lot. The TCEB’s policy is to support an event that promotes cooperation between Thai and foreign companies via interesting exhibitions and business negotiations, especially offshore industries, which tend to expand in the future according to current social conditions which rely on maritime transport, tourism, searching for offshore energy resources among others.
